Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is the process of hair removal by means of exposure to pulses of laser light that destroy the hair follicle. It had been performed experimentally for about twenty years
Laser Hair Removal is used by both men and women to permanently remove excess or unwanted hair. Experience up to 90% reduction of your body hair.
Hair Removal works by penetrating the epidermis with a wavelength of light that attacks the follicle at the growth stage. This heat energy destroys the cells which cause the hair to grow. As hair grows in cycles, not all follicles are damaged each time. Therefore, it is recommended that clients undergo a course of treatments over time to treat the entire area.

The number of treatments you will need depends on your skin type, your hair type and your desired results. The high energy levels of our laser reduces the number of treatments required to achieve hair reduction and also makes the process more cost effective when compared to extended treatments that are required by lower energy lasers. We recommend a series of 6 to 8 treatments to see a significant result. Each treatment should be carried out every 4 to 6 weeks. Each treatment lasts 10 to 20 minutes depending on the size of the area to be treated.
On the day of your procedure your aesthetic practitioner will go through everything with you and answer any questions you may have. Then, you’ll lie back and relax on one of our treatment beds while the practitioner applies a cooling gel to the area to be treated. You’ll be asked to wear some goggles to protect your eyes from the light of the machine and then your treatment will begin.
It is important not to pluck, tweeze, wax or use hair removal creams during the four weeks before treatment. This ensures that as many hair follicles as possible contain a hair which can be destroyed. It is also important to try and avoid tanning (sun, solarium or self-tanning products) before and during the treatment period. Otherwise your tanned skin could absorb the light instead of your hair. It is also recommended to use sunscreen (min. SPF 30) for a 2-4 weeks following treatment.
